This project started with a drawing as my starting point of inspiration. In the small corner of the drawing I discovered something that looked like a fish. This brought me to the idea to go to several fish shops to ask them to collect all their trash. After just one week I collected bags full of fish skin. The first step was a pretty obvious one; I tried to make fish leather. After a while I succeeded and wanted to try the opposite; what if you would harden the skin? What were the new possibilities now?
The outcome was a collection of cutlery made out of fish skin. An added value became the possibility to replace our plastic disposable plates, cups and cutlery into an ocean friendly material.
