Currents captures movement and the attempt to hold it still. The flowing forms suggest something alive and constantly moving, while the process of fixing them in place creates a contrast between movement and stillness.
The use of rust reinforces this idea, as something that naturally develops and changes over time is also captured and preserved. The work explores the tension between continuous movement and the desire to hold onto a single moment.
